<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct an expected value to be used for authenticating a main control board by a simple method, and to prevent fraudulent control of a peripheral board from a main control board and misuse of the expected value and information concerning authentication. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the electronic equipment having the main control board 310 and the peripheral board 330 carrying out prescribed processing on the basis of a control command sent by the main control board 310, when a control command to be sent to the peripheral board 330 is a command which makes processing of a blank condition to be carried out, the main control board 310 adds correction data of the expected value to be used for collating data sent from the main control board 310, authentication data to authenticate the main control board 310, and dummy data of the authentication data. The peripheral board 330 authenticates the main control board 310 as it is when receiving the dummy data and authenticates the main control board 310 by using the corrected expected value when receiving the authentication data.
