<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat motor which efficiently transfers heat generated at a coil to a cooling member, and is improved in cooling performance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the flat motor 1 constituted of a stator 10 and a needle 20, a yoke 21 of the mover is accommodated in a recess 23a formed at the cooling member 23 for dissipating or absorbing the heat generated at the coil with a pole-tooth forming face oriented to the outside, and is brought into contact with the cooling member on a flat face at the reverse side of the pole-tooth forming face. Then, space formed between the yoke 21 and the cooling member 23 and slots between a plurality of salient poles are sealed with resin materials 27 which are mixed with raw-material powder for improving thermal conductivity.
