PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of efficiently and rapidly introducing a very small amount of a liquid in case that measurement is performed using the liquid. SOLUTION: This device (1) having a reaction field is equipped with a substrate (10) having a recessed part on one surface side and the cover (14), which has a through-hole (16), provided on one surface of the substrate so as to superpose the through-hole and the recessed part one upon another. The cover has a contact angle control region (22), wherein the contact angle of a liquid is relatively small as the through-hole approachies and relatively large as the through-hole, leaves on its surface on the side not coming into contact with one surface of the substrate.
