<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such the problem that it is difficult for the conventional electo-optical device to efficiently increase an appropriate visible range. <P>SOLUTION: The electro-optical device includes a plurality of pixels and a light shield film 103. The plurality of pixels include first pixels 7<SB>1</SB>and second pixels 7<SB>2</SB>and are divided into a plurality of groups of pixels 55. The light shield film 103 is provided with openings 105 correspondingly to the pixel groups 55. In the electro-optical device, an observation distance L3 is defined in the direction of the pixel normal line, as a separation distance from a pixel to an observing position VP when an image is observed. In this electro-optical device, a barrier separation distance L2 which is a separation distance from the pixel to the light shield film 103 is set so as to correspond to a separation distance L1 different from the observation distance L3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
