<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop an additive that is added to a printing ink to improve glossiness, concentration and emulsifiability while particularly improving pigment dispersibility of a neutral carbon black. <P>SOLUTION: The printing ink additive uses as an active ingredient a cycloaddition reaction product that is obtained by reacting a fatty acid ester containing a conjugated acid with (anhydrous) maleic acid under heat. The conjugated acid is particularly preferably conjugated linoleic acid, and the fatty acid ester containing conjugated linoleic acid is an ester exchange product or the like between plant oil or the like and a 1-8C monohydric alcohol. The cycloaddition reaction product obtained by heating the ester and the (anhydrous) maleic acid is added as the additive to a printing ink so as to improve the glossiness, the concentration and the emulsifiability while improving the dispersibility of a pigment such as the neutral carbon black having dispersion difficulty, even by addition of a small amount thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
