PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wide-angle lens which secures back focus and has high imaging performance, an imaging apparatus including the same, and a method for manufacturing the wide-angle lens. SOLUTION: The wide-angle lens includes, in order from an object side, a first lens group G1 having negative refractive power and a second lens group G2 having positive refractive power. The first lens group G1 includes at least one negative meniscus lens component L12 turning its convex surface to the object side. The second lens group G2 includes, in order from the object side, two positive lens components L21 and L22, a negative lens component L23, and two positive lens components L24 and L25, and the negative lens component includes a negative lens.
