<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water tank for sedimentation of impurities by which sedimentation and removal of the impurities floating in the water and introduced into the water tank through a water supply pipe can be carried out properly. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The water supply pipes 17, 18 are housed in a water tank body 11, and jet nozzles 19, 20 are mounted on upper ends of the water supply pipes 17, 18. Outflow pipes 31, 32 are housed in the water tank body 11, and discharge ports 31a, 32a thereof are arranged on an upper part of the water tank body 11. The jet nozzles 19, 20 are arranged so that the jet water stream ejected from the jet nozzles 19, 20 is set to be oriented in the horizontal direction, and that water swirl is generated inside the water tank body 11. Further, an effective passage area of the jet nozzle 19 (20) is set to be larger than that of the water supply pipe 17 (18), so that the speed of flow of the water in the jet nozzle 19 (20) becomes slower than that of the water in the water supply pipe 17 (18).
