<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a torsional damper capable of easily and quickly performing construction work of a resin bearing when constructing the desirable resin bearing by forming a band-shaped flat resin material in a predetermined annular shape, capable of always properly and surely arranging the resin bearing, and capable of improving assembly work efficiency of the torsional damper and productivity. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In manufacturing the torsional damper including a driven plate 3 connected to a rotating shaft, an inertial mass 4 connected to the driven plate 3 and relatively rotated with respect to the driven plate 3, damping liquid filled between the inertial mass 4 and the driven plate 3, and the resin bearing 8 annularly arranged on the driven plate 3 so that the driven plate 3 can be slidably abutted to the inertial mass 4, the band-shaped resin material is arranged in the prescribed annular shape after at least both ends of the thermoplastic band-shaped resin material are formed in the curved shape under heating, and is adhered to an arrangement target member in plurality of portions, and the resin bearing is obtained.
