PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve easy mounting workability while satisfying sound insulating performance in response to silencing of a compressor without forming a clearance between the sound isolating member of a cylindrical body and the sound isolating member of a lid body even if the upper opening of the sound isolating member of the cylindrical body has no true circle due to variation when the sound isolating member of the lid body is mounted to the sound isolating member of the cylindrical body attached to the compressor. SOLUTION: In this sound isolating device for the compressor, the sound isolating member 2 of the cylindrical body composed of external sound insulation material 2a and internal sound absorbing material 2b is fitted to the periphery of the compressor 1, and the sound isolating member 3 of the lid body composed of external sound insulation material 3a and internal sound absorbing material 3b is fitted to the upper opening of the sound isolating member 2 of the cylindrical body. An inwardly down inclined surface 2c is formed on the upper opening surface of the sound absorbing material of the sound isolating member 2 of the cylindrical body, and an inclined surface 3c tightly stuck oppositely to the inclined surface 2c formed on the upper opening surface of the sound absorbing material of the sound isolating member of the cylindrical body is formed on the side surface of the sound absorbing material of the sound isolating member 3 of the lid body.
