The protector has an impact element designed as elongate, flat strip shaped upholstery cushion (3) displaced along a rear edge (5) of a front door (1). The cushion has a length ranging between 20 and 50 cm, a breath ranging between 2 and 5 cm, and a thickness ranging between 1 and 3 cm. The cushion is fastened to the front door by a magnet fastening device. The fastening device includes magnet pieces embedded in the cushion. The cushion includes a water-proof and hydrophobic outer layer with a high static friction coefficient.
