A draught excluder assembly, such as for the door openings in auto. mobiles comprises a U-section finishing strip 12 having several clip, 16 pushed therein, each clip 16 being of U-shape with inwardly directed prongs 17, 18, and a rubber sealing strip 11 having a portion 14 in. serted into the clips 16 and strip 12, so that it is held by the prongs 17. 18, the whole then being pushed over the flange 10, so that the assembly is retained either by the frictional grip on the flange 10 or by the prongs 17, 18 penetrating the rubber strip 11 and engaging the flange. As shown the strip 11 consists of a tubular portion 13 and a flat flexible portion 14, the latter being folded to lie within the clips 16. In a modification the portion 14 is preformed to U-shape. The finishing strip 12 may consist of stiff but flexible fabric or of fabric having a flexible metal reinforcement incorporated therein. A limb of the strip 12 is inturned at 15 to overlie the end of a limb of each clip 16. |
