BACKLIGHT UNIT HAVING DUAL DISPLAY FUNCTION

PURPOSE: A backlight unit having a double display function is provided to supply light to a partial area of a liquid crystal panel and the remaining area by a first light guiding member, a first light resource, a second light guiding member, and a second light source, thereby reducing the division and overlap of an image in displaying identical content. CONSTITUTION: A first light guide member(30) has a first container and a hole corresponding to a partial area to induce the light of a first light source to a remaining area excluding a partial area of an LCD panel(10). A gauge board(90) is displayed on the partial area through the first container and the hole at a location corresponding to the first container and the hole on rear side of the light guiding member. A second light guiding member(50) diffuses light of a second light source. The second light guiding member induces the light to the gauge board and the LCD panel.
