The method involves recording data i.e. three-dimensional data such as coordinates, which are spatial from a body of a person (1) from biometric physical characteristics by a data recording device (2). The information and/or a part of the data are extracted from the recorded data by a data processing system (2'). A key (S1) is formed for encrypting and/or decrypting personal data such that the spatial data are encrypted. The encrypted data are stored in a person-data record of a database (4). The person-data are read from the person-data record, decrypted by the key and provided for access. An independent claim is also included for a system for encrypting and/or decrypting personal data stored in a database. |
