APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MEASURING UPLINK THERMAL NOISE POWER AND UPLINK INTERFERENCE POWER IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A device and a method for measuring an uplink thermal noise power and an uplink interference power are provided to measure an uplink thermal noise power in a base station. CONSTITUTION: A wire interface(650) transmits and receives a signal with a system management unit connected by a wire network. A scheduler(640) receives mute interval setup information through the wire interface. The scheduler sets mute interval which does not assign resources by using the mute interval setup information. If the mute interval occurs, RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) measuring unit(660) measures RSSI. The RSSI measuring unit sets the measured RSSI as an uplink thermal noise power.
