PURPOSE: Complete solid-solution powder for preparation of cemented carbide, cemented carbide and a method for preparing the same are provided to achieve cemented carbide with improved strength and toughness substituting for the commercial WC-Co cemented carbide by forming rod or plate shaped dispersed phase within the micro-structure of the cemented carbide. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing cemented carbide comprises the steps of: mixing or mixing/pulverizing one or more materials selected from the group consisting of tungsten and oxidation tungsten, one or more metal except tungsten among 4 to 6 group metal on the periodic table, the oxide of the metal, and carbon powder; and heating the mixture for reduction and carbonization. |
