<p>The method involves determining an estimate of an arrival direction angle of a signal emitted by a directional antenna (32) i.e. radar antenna, and determining time derivative of values of the estimate. An estimate of a slope of a line on a sub-set of pulses of a coherent block is determined by calculating an average of time derivatives. A decision test is carried out such that rotational direction of the antenna is equal to direction of decreasing and increasing azimuth angles when the estimate of the slope is greater than positive integer and less than negative integer, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a system for measuring rotational direction of a directional antenna radiating a signal, comprising an amplitude goniometry device.</p> |
