A method for large flap craniotomy in mammals with delayed cranioplastics is a method for bone plastic craniotomy. After removal of the large calvarium fragment (up to 70 % of the calvarium) in mammals in the form of one or several bone flaps, the most effective for decompression of intracranial space of solid brain tunic dissection in the projection of bone defect and arrangement of polyethylene lining thickness of between the skull periosteum and galea aponeurotica m. occipitofrontalis in the projection of operational wound, prepared bone flap is placed into contralateral (in relation to operation site) sublageal space in artificially formed sublageal pocket m.occipitofrontalis to the moment of cranioplastics operation, during wich the polyethylene lining installed during the first operation is removed, and the bone flap is removed from the sublageal pocket, returned to its previous place and fixed in the course of cranioplastic operation. |
