METHOD FOR ASSESSING EFFICACY OF REHABILITATING TREATMENT OF PATIENTS AFTER MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION

A method for assessing the efficacy of the rehabilitating treatment of the patients after myocardial infarction provides for heart visualization by echocardiography. The end-systolic volume of the left ventricle is estimated. Prior to and after the rehabilitating treatment, the index of the contractile function is calculated as the ratio of cardiac output of the left ventricle to the end-systolic volume. When the end-systolic volume of the left ventricle decrease by at least 20 %, the index of the contractile function increases by at least 30 %, and the distance of the fast-paced walking is within 500- for 6 min, the rehabilitating treatment of the patients after myocardial infarction is considered as the effective one.
