A method for producing tape on a thin-sheet hot rolling mill from a continuous cast billet includes preliminary heating the continuous cast billet and rolling thereof in a reduction mill; following final heating in a continuous furnace and rolling thereof in the thin-sheet hot rolling mill up to set thickness. At that preliminary heating is made in the continuous furnaces of the thin-sheet hot rolling mill and preliminary rolling in the reduction mill is preformed in 2-4 passes.
