The invention relates to magnetic separation and can be used in ceramic, energy, food, pharmaceutical and other industries. A method of magnetic separation of weak-magnetic liquid or powder-gas products include supply of the product to a separator, passing the product flow through a polygradient filling of a filter-matrix, which is under action of the magnetic field of permanent magnets, deposition of magnetic-susceptible particles of the product on the elements of polygradient filling of filter-matrix. Also, the process includes removal of action of magnetic field on the polygradient filling of filter-matrix by electromagnetic shielding the polygradient filling of filter-matrix against action on it of the magnetic field of permanent magnets by rotating a thin wall hollow ferromagnetic cylinder relative to the permanent magnet, which is located between the polygradient filling and the system of permanent magnets. Then the deposited particles are removed from the polygradient filling of filter-matrix, and the sediment of the particles is transported for draining. A magnetic separator includes a polygradient filling of filter-matrix located in a cylindrical body, permanent magnets, which create in the polygradient filling magnetic field directed perpendicular to the axis of polygradient filling, a ferromagnetic shaft mounted with possibility of rotation, inlet and outlet nozzles. The body of separator is ferromagnetic, on the inner surface of which semicircular radially magnetized permanent magnets are located with alternating polarity along the cylinder circle, inside which coaxially with them the polygradient filling and a ferromagnetic thin-walled cylinder are mounted on the ferromagnetic shaft. The ferromagnetic cylinder occupies an intermediate position between the outer surface of polygradient filling and the inner surface of permanent magnets. Realization of the invention provides more effective implementation of magnetic separation of liquid or powder-gas products due to intensification of regeneration process of the polygradient fillings of magnetic separators. |
