PURPOSE: A method for measuring performance of forming and suppressing bio film in vitro and a method for screening a material having an ability of suppressing bio film without expensive equipment are provided. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring performance of forming or suppressing bio film in vitro comprises: a step of culturing microorganism in a medium for 3-15 days to form bio film; a step of analyzing image and quantifying; and a step of comparing measured value and evaluating the performance of forming or suppressing bio film. The medium contains animal plasma from human, rabbit, or bovine. A method for screening a material having ability of suppressing bio film comprises: a step of culturing microorganism in a medium for 3-15 days to form bio film; a step of dyeing the bio film and quantifying; and a step of comparing value and selecting the material.
