METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECOVERING DATA USING BIT LOGGING

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for recovering data using bit logging are provided to normally restore data by using bit logging in a multitasking or DBMS(Database Management System) of a multi-threading environment or file system. CONSTITUTION: A control unit performs logging of bit unit for a bitmap of the lowest level. The control unit generates a log record(S100). The control unit restores a bit map of the lowest level through the generated log record(S110). Based on the result restored in the lowest level, the control unit revises bit map of upper level corresponding to the bit map of the lowest level(S120).
