<p>PURPOSE: A refrigerator is provided to increase a storage space by positioning a machine chamber in the upper part of a body and to decrease the thickness of a refrigerator by arranging a part of a cold-air generating chamber in the upper part of the body. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises a body(1), an evaporator(110), a damper member, a cold-air generating chamber(100), cold-air outlets(125a,125b), and cooling fans(115a,115b). The body comprises a storage chamber. The evaporator is installed in the upper part of the body and generates the cold air provided to the storage chamber. The damper member selectively blocks the cold air flowing from the evaporator to the storage chamber. The cold-air generating chamber is installed in the upper part of the body, is communicated with the storage chamber, and accepts the evaporator. The cold-air outlet is formed between the cold-air generating chamber and the storage chamber and guides the cold air generated from the evaporator to the storage chamber. The cooling fan is installed in the cold-air generating chamber and discharges the cold air generated from the evaporator to the storage chamber.</p> |
