PURPOSE: A positive electrode pellet for a thermal battery, a manufacturing method thereof, and the thermal battery are provided to increase the contact area between FeS_2 particles by coating the particle surface of lithium eutectic salt. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a positive electrode pellet for a thermal battery comprises the following steps: forming mixed powder by mixing FeS_2 powder, electrolyte binder powder, and Li_2O powder; melting the mixed powder, and cooling the melted product to form a mixed powder particle in which the electrolyte is coated on the FeS_2; and crushing the particle to form positive electrode powder, and mold-pressing the positive electrode powder.
