A wear article that ensures easy, accurate interlocking of an anterior waist area and a posterior waist area. A diaper (1) comprises a first fastening element (13) and a second fastening element (14) capable of detachably interlocking the front side and backside edge portions (11,12) of anterior and posterior waist areas (8,9). The second fastening element (14) at its backside edge portion (12) is provided with fold inducing means (23) for rendering the second fastening element (14) foldable via a fold zone (24) so that while retaining the folded state of the second fastening element (14), the first fastening element (13) and the second fastening element (14) at their superior end edges (17,21) can be interlocked with each other. Upon the interlocking of the superior end edges (17,21), the folding of folded inferior end edges (18,22) is undone and these are interlocked with each other. Unintended interlocking of the inferior end edges (18,22) during the interlocking of the superior end edges (17,21) of the first fastening element (13) and second fastening element (14) can be prevented. |
