The cylinder has a nut (4) mounted at a chassis (1) in rotation by a single bearing (5) e.g. ball bearing. The nut is cooperated with a socketed screw (8) associated to anti-rotation units (9, 10), so that rotation of the nut under action of a belt (7) causes translation of the socketed screw. A cable (11) is extended into the socketed screw and integrated to the socketed screw, so that translation of the socketed screw causes displacement of the cable. The belt is extended at a level that is same as level of the bearing.
