The adaptor has an adaptor body (1), and a deflector positioned on the body using a guide pin (10). The body has an opening or slot (3) for recovering heat of a hearth, where the opening is of different shapes. The deflector includes a fold to direct hot air closer to an inner surface of a glass pane of the hearth. An inclined plane (4) is provided at an upper part of the adaptor body. Orifices (5) are provided in the inclined plane.
