<p>The mold (101) has a matrix or core formed by assembling steel or cast iron shells (109, 122) that define a cavity on its faces (109b, 122b) opposite to other faces (109a, 122a) presenting a molding shape. Plates (105, 119) close the cavity of the shells. The plates carry steel brackets (107, 120) whose ends are supported against the shells. The ends of the brackets are arranged to absorb compression forces created during molding. An ejection device for ejecting a molded piece (111) includes an ejector (113) simultaneously passing through the plates and the shells of the core. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabrication of a compression mold.</p> |
