PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data conversion device, capable of providing a regular output image with minimized distortion over a wide range when an image taken with the optical axis of a camera being inclined is used as an input image. SOLUTION: In a virtual image conversion model of an image conversion part, an input image 1 of planar orthogonal coordinate system composed of a circular plane is converted to an image on a hemispherical virtual object plane 2 of polar coordinate system in which the subject is projected in conformation to a fisheye lens 81, the image on the virtual object plane 2 is converted to an image on a correction plane 3, 3A of three-dimensional coordinate system for correcting spherical distortion, and the image on the correction plane 3, 3A is projected to a display plane 4 of planar orthogonal coordinate system by orthographic projection, whereby an output image is obtained. When three-dimensional orthogonal coordinates of the correction plane 3, 3A are x1, y1, and z1, the input image is converted to the output image by rotating it within the y-z plane byθin the correction plane 3, 3A based on the x1', y1', and z1' according to the expression.
