PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition timing control device for an internal combustion engine, preventing effective suppression of occurrence of knocking from being disabled and avoiding degradation in engine output. SOLUTION: This device corrects an ignition timing command value by a feedback correction item and a learning value about the feedback item. In an area other than a specific operational area (S101:NO), only learning of a basic learning value AG[i] is permitted, and in the specific operational area (S101:YES), only learning of a multipoint learning value AGdp[n] of each of multipoint learning areas partitioned according to engine operational statuses is permitted. If the feedback correction item is changed in the same aspect and when a rate of change of the basic learning value AG[i] is compared with a rate of change of the multipoint learning value AGdp[n], the basic learning value AG[i] and the multipoint learning value AGdp[n] are learned so that the rate of change of the multipoint learning value AGdp[n] becomes higher than the rate of change of the basic learning value AG[i] (S102-S104).
