The present invention relates to a system and method for clipboard security that enables enhanced security of data transmission via the clipboard that is frequently used in computer utilization. According to one embodiment of the clipboard security system, a clipboard management unit responds to requests from at least one user to save data in the clipboard or to extract data from the clipboard, and the clipboard management unit is furnished with a data encoding unit that encodes the data requested for saving according to the trust relationship with the user requesting to save data to the clipboard, and a data decoding unit which decodes the encoded data according to the trust relationship with the user requesting to extract the encoded data saved in the clipboard.
