PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass plate packing body capable of adequately mitigating shocks against a glass plate layered body even when the number of layered glass plates is increased, and suppressing considerable weight increase, unreasonable waste of materials, or the like. SOLUTION: The glass plate packing body 1 stores the glass plate layered body 6 with a plurality of glass plates being layered flat above a base part 3 of a pallet 2. A glass plate receiving part 4 having an area corresponding to the size of the glass plate is arranged on an upper part of the base part 3. A shock-absorbing body 5 is laied substantially over the entire area on an upper part of the glass plate receiving part 4. The glass plate layered body 6 is placed on the upper part of the shock-absorbing body 5. A plurality of holding plates 7 located on the outer side of the shock-absorbing body 5 and the glass plate layered body 6 to regulate the horizontal movement of the glass plate layered body 6 are fitted to the glass plate receiving part 4 separably from each other.
