PURPOSE: A method and a device for reducing segregation in a continuous casting machine are provided to prevent non-uniform coagulation due to segregation caused by dendrite. CONSTITUTION: A method for reducing segregation in a continuous casting machine comprises the steps of: solidifying a slab by spraying cooling water with a cooling water spray unit arranged in a strand(30), applying the supersonic vibration to the slab using a plurality of supersonic units(100) arranged a part of sections of the strand during the solidifying process, analyzing input information and measurement information on central segregation of the manufactured slab and transmitting the information as feedback to a controller, and comparing an input signal of another slab entering the strand with a set value of the controller and selectively controlling the operation of the supersonic units on the basis of the comparison result.
