<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: since a holey fiber has a structure in which a bending loss is hardly caused, identification light is not leaked and fiber identification is difficult. <P>SOLUTION: The holey fiber has at least two or more clads (defined as clads) having different refractive indexes, at the outside of holes with respect to the center of fiber cross-section in the case of a hole-assisted fiber and a photonic crystal fiber, and at the outside of the forming region of a photonic band gap in the case of a photonic band gap fiber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
