<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct CCD dark current and high-intensity signal compression. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus using a CCD has a 14-bit A/D and a 12-bit imaging signal processing circuit. After extending a high level of the video signal output from effective pixels of a solid state imaging element, a smear calculated from VOB and a dark current of the effective picture element are subtracted. A 14-bit video signal is compressed into 12 bits, and then signal processing is performed. Alternatively, the imaging apparatus using CCD has a CDS, a 10-bit A/D, and an imaging signal processing circuit. The smear calculated from VOB and a reference voltage of the dark current CDS of the effective picture element are changed in units of pixels. Equivalently, after CDS, the smear and the dark current of the effective picture element are subtracted from the video signal output from the effective pixels. With reference to the smear and the dark current of the effective pixels, the high level is extended to be subjected to signal processing in consideration of the high-intensity compression of the smear and the dark current of the effective pixels. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
