<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect overlay traffic beforehand even in a situation that nodes of an overlay network are unknown. <P>SOLUTION: An overlay traffic detection system includes: a plurality of traffic information measuring means arranged on a network so as to measure statistical information regarding a traffic flow from input traffic; a plurality of traffic profile creating means for storing the statistical information measured by each traffic information measuring means so as to profile the temporally-changing statistical information and/or feature information of the statistical information; and a correlation-effect evaluation-threshold decision means that collects the statistical information and/or the feature information of the statistical information from the plurality of traffic profile creating means, tallies each statistical information and/or the feature information of each statistical information, and calculates a correlation between tallied information of input traffic to a certain destination and tallied information of output traffic using a destination as a transmission source so as to determine whether the correlation exceeds the set threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
