PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle travel support system which presents an optimum recommended travel route by precisely determining a recommended travel speed. SOLUTION: The vehicle travel support system 1 computes the recommended travel speed, based on both of signaler information, indicating a signaler time span between green and red signals, and a speed change parameter of the vehicle on a travel route. The speed change parameter includes a parameter regarding the turnaround of the vehicle, a parameter about road shape, and a parameter about road regulation, and factors inducing acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle during travel is taken into consideration. Hence, the recommended travel route can be determined precisely, even when running on a travel route where acceleration and deceleration are frequently induced and the optimum recommended travel route can be presented.
