PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase switching speed in a switch circuit including a bidirectional switch in which two transistors are connected in series. SOLUTION: A switch portion (10) is formed of two switching elements (SW1, SW2) that are connected in series on the drain (D) side and permit bidirectional currents. Control is carried out by a switch control unit (20) as follows: when the switch portion (10) is caused to transition from off to on, on voltage is applied to the gate (G1, G2) of the switching element (SW1, SW2) wherein its source (S1, S2) is applied with a backward voltage earlier than the other switching element (SW1, SW2); and when the switch portion is caused to transition from on to off, off-voltage is applied to the gate (G1, G2) of the switching element (SW1, SW2) wherein its source (S1, S2) is applied with a backward voltage earlier than the other switching element (SW1, SW2).
