PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber capable of reducing manufacturing costs and management costs. SOLUTION: A valve body 3 where an opening 37 of a passage 21 is formed comprises a clamp seat portion 30 adapted to clamp a disk valve, the opening 37, a non-annular first seat portion 31 where the disk valve can be seated, and an annular second seat portion 32, which are formed in this order from the inner circumferential side. The first seat portion 31 has an axial height equal to or higher than the axial height of the clamp seat portion 30 and lower than the axial height of the second seat portion 32.
