摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid catalyst component for olefin polymerization having high stereoregular polymerizability and high activity, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The method for producing a solid catalyst component precursor for olefin polymerization includes a step of adding an organic magnesium compound to a solution containing a silicon compound having an Si-O bond, a titanium compound represented by formula [I], and a solvent, wherein the amount of magnesium atoms corresponds to 2.5-90 mol per liter of the solvent. The method for producing a solid catalyst component for olefin polymerization includes a step of bringing the solid catalyst component precursor for olefin polymerization into contact with a halogenated metal compound represented by the following formula and an inner electron donor.
