<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide tar decomposition equipment and a start-up method of the equipment, for making the whole gasification system including a gasification furnace quickly and smoothly function without energy loss while preventing a tar decomposition catalyst from being poisoned by a gas containing moisture upon starting up the equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The equipment includes: a reactor 2 having a catalyst layer where a gas generated from a gasification furnace 1 is introduced and a tar component in the gas is decomposed; a preheating burner 5 for starting up the equipment, the burner being disposed in the downstream of the reactor; and an air preheater 3 disposed further in the downstream of the burner, where the generated gas or a decomposed gas, and an inert gas such as air are introduced and subjected to heat exchange. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
