摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding-type tripod constant velocity joint, reducing costs and reducing a weight of a retainer by reducing a load of the retainer received from a needle and an outer ring. SOLUTION: An intermediate member 40 is rockably provided around an outer periphery of a corresponding one of tripod shaft portions 22. Shaft-like rolling elements 50 are retained by corresponding retainers 60 so that the shaft-like rolling elements 50 circulates around the corresponding intermediate members 40 and rolls between side surfaces 163 of a corresponding one of raceway grooves 16 of the outer ring 10 and a torque transmitting surface 41 of a corresponding one of the intermediate members 40. Then, raceway recesses 18 are formed on the side surfaces 163 of each raceway groove 16 so as to extend in a direction of a rotation axis of the outer ring. The shaft-like rolling elements 50 are fitted in the corresponding raceway recesses 18 and are able to roll along bottom surfaces 18a of the respective raceway recesses 18.
