<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element controller which appropriately sets a control target to a specified target position by changing control parameters to activate a motor corresponding to surrounding temperature not depending on backlash of a power transmission mechanism or surrounding temperature if activating a specified control target (optical element) through a motor to set it to a specified target position based on a position (output value) detected by a potentiometer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the optical element controller, a motor 28 which rotates a turret plate of a filter unit is applied with a driving voltage V that is acquired by V=α(P0-P) in which P is a position signal acquired by the potentiometer, P0 is a target position and α is a gain by a CPU 100. The CPU 100 changes the gain α corresponding to a surrounding temperature detected by a temperature sensor 106, and accurately adjusts an actual stop position of the turret plate to a specified target position.
