摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument for measuring optical properties of skin which instantaneously changes illumination light to be used for measuring transparency and color information on the skin to thereby measure the transparency and the color information nearly simultaneously and which relates the thus measured transparency and color information with impression of the appearance of skin and express it as an objective value. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The instrument for measuring the optical properties of the skin includes (A), (B) and (C): (A) an irradiating means continuously changing a condensed light and a parallel light and irradiating a skin surface with the light in non-contact way; (B) a transparency measuring means to detect a reflected light of the condensed light with which the skin is irradiated and calculate an attenuation coefficient (μ<SB>eff</SB>), an absorption coefficient (μ<SB>a</SB>), or an equivalent scattering coefficient (μ<SB>s</SB>'); and (C) a color measuring means to detect the reflected light of the parallel light with which the skin is irradiated and to measure the color information.
