<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mail distribution content checking system and method, a mail server, and a control program thereof in which a sender can check the contents of text of e-mail (electronic mail) before viewing by a recipient even after sending the e-mail. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The mail distribution content checking system 10 includes: an e-mail sending operation means 11 for sending the e-mail; a mail text disclosing necessity inquiring means 12 which receives the sent e-mail on the way, sends information including at least a source except the text of mail to a destination, and inquires whether disclosing the text of mail is needed; an e-mail text disclosing approval inquiring means 13 for inquiring to the source whether disclosing the text of mail is approved when an answer in which disclosing the text of mail is needed comes; and an e-mail text disclosing means 14 for disclosing the text of mail to the destination of e-mail only when the answer in which disclosing the text is approved is obtained.
