The present invention relates to a wallpaper and a method for manufacturing the same. The wallpaper of the present invention may be manufactured at low energy and low cost regardless of such factors as increasing oil prices, and does not emit greenhouse gases or hazardous substances in the course of manufacture, use, or disposal, or during fire. In addition, the wallpaper of the present invention can decompose readily in the natural environment even when disposed of by burial.
