The invention relates to a tool holder for a chipping hammer, having a tool receptacle (4) for receiving a tool (2) and a tool securing device for securing the tool (2) in the tool receptacle (4). The tool securing device according to the invention has a shaft (16) having an eccentrically arranged mandrel (15) and at least one end piece (18) and a bar (6) having at least one eye (19) in which the end piece (18) engages in a form-fitting manner. The tool securing device can be pivoted to at least one first position for inserting and removing the tool (2) and to at least one second position for securing the tool (2). The eye (19) has a non-circular cross-section.
