PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproduction simulation method for a computer-generated hologram, for reducing the cost and time required for correction by preliminarily checking the quality of a computer-generated hologram, and to provide a method for producing a computer-generated hologram by using the reproduction simulation method, and a computer-generated hologram produced by using the production method. SOLUTION: The reproduction simulation method includes steps of: dividing an image data into FFT blocks, the data representing an intensity distribution obtained by computing the intensity distribution of interference waves formed by object light and reference light by using a computer; generating a set of two-dimensional FFT images by subjecting the image data to two-dimensional fast Fourier transform in each FFT block; subjecting the all pixels in the set of the two-dimensional FFT image to a smoothing process to average the pixel value of each objective pixel based on pixel values in the surrounding reference region; and obtaining a simulation image of the computer-generated hologram from the set of the two-dimensional FFT images after the smoothing process.
