IMAGE ALTERATION PREVENTION SYSTEM, IMAGING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE ALTERATION PREVENTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image alteration prevention system that prevents alterations of management information added to headers of image files by a method different from an existing image alteration prevention method using a digital signature.

SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus included in the image alteration prevention system includes an image file generation part for generating an image file from a digital image acquired by an imaging part and management information about the digital image. A flag setting part is also provided for recording in the management information a protection flag to prohibit text data included in the management information from being changed. The image file generation part includes in the text data a character string representing a digital image title, shooting date/time or position information, and uses the character string as the filename of the image file. An information processing apparatus configured to receive the image file includes an alteration prevention part for determining whether or not the protection flag is recorded in the management information of the acquired image file, and if it is recorded, prohibiting changes in the text data.
