PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrences of minute defects such as pilus and chipping, by setting the angle of the corner of a chamfered portion formed on the body of an optical element to a predetermined angle or greater. SOLUTION: In the lens L having the chamfered portion B formed between the outer circumferential face S of a lens body and the outermost circumferential part Lb of an optical functional face A, an angle α1 formed by a tangent C drawn to the outermost circumferential part Lb of the optical functional face A and a face La-Lb constituting the chamfered portion B, and an angle α2 formed by the outer circumferential face S of the lens body and the face La-Lb of the chamfered portion B are ≥105° and <180°.
